DAWNIKA L. BENSON, MS

Dawnika Benson is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Social Work with a concentration in Clinical and Family Therapy.

Dawnika earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University and a Master of Science degree in Counseling Studies from Capella University. 

Dawnika has more than 15 years in the child welfare sector in the state of Michigan, serving as an advocate for children. Dawnika has dedicated her life to working with children and families in the community and carries a deep passion to provoke change. 

Dawnika has dedicated her professional career to growing and challenging herself with many roles and responsibilities including Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as well as other committees for the purpose of improving the child welfare system. 

Dawnika looks forward to learning during her internship with Uplift and Inspire Counseling and Consulting.
